Boo-rito!

Long time no post! As i'm sure you've noticed, please take advantage of the offer above if possible. Any picture you take would surely be a Kodak moment. Well, what's been happening with me lately? Let's recount my strange Friday night: walking in the rain for what seemed like an eternity, unable to find my friend's party and with no GPS or Google Maps to guide my pitiful soul, and then busting down my apartment door because my roommate was asleep and not answering my phone calls. Anyhow, it's Saturday night and I thought it would be a good idea to stay in tonight, which means I have time to unload more of my favorite bands from the past year.

First off:

The Guillemots - one of the wackiest bands you'll hear this year, whose band leader, Fyfe Dangerfield, could probably give David Bowie a run for his money. However, notwitstanding his unreal psychiatric ward inmate persona, I love his and the band's sound and I think what made me get into them is watching their live performance video clips.

Also, they were second favorites to win the noteworthy Mercury Prize this year. The prize is a music award given annually for the best British or Irish album of the previous 12 months. According to BBC, the Mercury Music Prize is voted for by a panel of industry experts, journalists and artists, and is said to reward originality and creativity rather than sales success.
